This is hands down my favourite coat. It just suits my lifestyle so perfectly. It's an oversized classic black coat in boiled wool that's not lined. Just the right style for accommodating chunkier knitwear and a great length and fabric weight for dapping in and out of the car. It puts a smile on my face every time I wear......and let's face it that's what clothes should be all about! I think an oversized black or navy style is a superb starting point for anyone's winter coat collection. If I was looking to replace it (heaven forbid!) I've spied this gorgeous alternative......
Mango coat it comes in a brown check and grey tweed too!

I'll be the first to admit that I definitely need a coat to spice things up a bit as 3 out of 4 of my coats are black! You can always rely on a leopard print to bring a bit of interest to any outfit! This M&S coat is a few years old now - from their Limited Collection. It's 3/4 length, cocoon shape with a softer round shawl style collar.......and pockets! I prefer that the colour and print is a little more subdued.....I have tried faux fur and louder prints but have always come back to this one. Always worth checking eBay for this one try this search link here.

Topshop have come up trumps done something very similar this year!
I'm swapping out my biker jacket for something a bit cosier.......a faux fur lined aviator. These seem have become a bit of a classic wardrobe staple as they are easy to find on the High Street year after year. Mines a few years old from New Look.

I have to say that I really love this updated slightly shorter version that Topshop have done this season. The more central collar is a lovely new detail!
And last but not least....a bit of a game changer to my wardrobe. I've found this H&M puffer to be both functional and stylish. I plucked it from the sale rail a few years ago and bagged it for £30! I've well and truly had my pay per wear from it. It's a large as it's all they had left but it turned out to be a very lucky acquisition. Basically I can wear other jackets and layers underneath which means I'm very cosy whilst standing around in freezing temps watching my daughters netball matches! It's hard not to be tempted by all the gorgeous new quilted offerings this year but this one has done the job superbly and so I'm loathe to replace it!

Coming soon - winter woolies. I want to feel stylish indoors if we are to be spending more time at home. I've taken the liberty of adding a couple of new sweaters to my wardrobe after a good clear out of duplicates that have now been re-homed thanks to eBay.
Back soon! Michelle x
