What to wear on Christmas Day?

This post contains gifted items - AD

Hands up who else has already been giving their Christmas Day outfit some thought? We will be spending most of the at home this year so I am going for comfort above all else. If I could get away with staying in my pyjamas all day I would! However, my mum will be joining us and there is a leisurely dog walk on the agenda so I believe something a little bit more luxurious is needed! Lavender Hill Clothing have provided me with just the right outfit......a beautiful set of loungewear!

I had the opportunity to test out this 2 piece out at a family gathering this weekend and I can tell you it is going to be perfect for the leisurely activities we have planned for the big day. It's super soft.....and super comfy. It's a beautiful modal blend soft jersey and the trousers have an elastic waistband to accommodate the Christmas dinner food baby! The top is a very flattering, feminine wrap making it just that little bit more dressy.

Oh......and I've never appreciated the fuss over cashmere socks.....but boy they are a luxury about to become an essential in my sock drawer! So toasty for the tootsies. I shall in fact be just slipping on my wellies over mine and adding a chunky cardy and a parka over my loungewear for our Christmas Day dog walk! Every eventuality sorted!

Should the need arise to party (very unlikely but I like to be prepared!) I treated myself to a new frock! My focus is still on buying from independent brands and preloved clothing where I can. I have been keeping my eyes peeled for an Insta-famous much desired collaboration dress. I missed one at a local preloved clothing sale and I've trawled eBay for one on a number of occasions but it was still going for silly money..........so imagine my delight when I found one via a secondhand store on Instagram! Thanks to Manifesto Woman I am now the delighted owner of this H&M and William Morris collaboration dress.

The beauty of this dress is that it's not just for Christmas! There is so much in my wardrobe that it goes with it.......it's definitely been a savvy investment! I look forward to wearing it with some tan knee hight boots as well as trainers or brogues. I've got a vintage M&S velvet blazer that will look perfect paired with it for some evening shjujh! For daytime I love it with a chunky knit sweater thrown over it. Looking forward to playing around with the many ways I can style it!

So I'm ultra organised this Christmas outfit sorted ✔ Christmas shopping done ✔ Presents wrapped ✔ It's time to relax and enjoy the festivities!

Are you all set?

Wishing you a Merry Christmas, Michelle x
