All Pakt up!

AD/Gifted item

I have been presented with opportunity of road testing a beautiful piece of luggage. Oh - how - I - wish I had had this holdall for my trip to Copenhagen recently. My own little carry-on was on it's last legs......in truth I nearly swapped it for another bag last minute as I wasn't sure it would make the journey. The Pakt bag I've received would have been perfect for that birthday trip. You know how much I love a capsule packing challenge.....luckily I have a couple of other chances to test it out before this year is over.

I do favour a bag over a case - you might remember some of my family packing posts where we use 2 large holdalls instead of suitcases. I like to grab a bag and sling it over my shoulder rather than use wheels that someone else will undoubtedly trip over!

The Pakt bag comes within the Easyjet cabin bag size at approx 51cm by 25cm by 28cm. It has a 35 litre capacity.

It is designed to 'ease the pain' of airport security and has so many amazing features I don't know where to start! The clever designers at Pakt have thought of everything to make your packing organised.

I'm going to start with my favourite feature! The very clever TSA (Transport Security Administration - US airport security) zipped mesh pocket. Handy for stowing the clear plastic bags we have to use in the UK for storing our liquids. This has a red tape running across it - a little red flag to remind you to pick up everything that has to be security checked like your devices and valuables.

The bag has dedicated pockets for laptops and for tickets, passports, cards, money etc all with closures either popper shut or zipped for added security.

An external pocket with magnetic closure

Clip for keys

Internal pockets in the external pockets idea for pens, credit cards, travel docs and phones!

The Pakt has 4 studs on the bottom of the bag for protection.

For your comfort it can be hand held but it also comes with a padded strap that is adjustable to wear over your shoulder or crossbody.

I've clipped my neck pillow (you could also attach a water bottle) to the handle.

Now for the inside. There are 2 main compartments but lots of little extra storage solutions inside too.......it's so well thought out! The padded zipped internal pocket below was designed to protect your laptop but still making it accessible for easy access at security.

There is a netted compartment on one side, with a zipped internal within it as well as two small netted pockets.....perfect size for a jewellery roll or I can squeeze my travel hairdryer in one.

Handy internal mesh pockets for jewellery rolls etc

The other large zipped compartment also has a zipped pocket and the inside mesh pockets.

A handy little zipped bag comes included ........great for storing dirty laundry on the trip home.

The Pakt is made with the planet in mind..........

"We've optimized every step of our supply chain to minimize the environmental impact. We use modern, durable, technical materials that are 100% animal-friendly." It arrives in plastic free packaging. Pakt have thoughtfully shared all of the features in the paper it comes wrapped in.

It comes in 3 colours.......naturally I went with the minimal and stylish black! It comes in grey and blue as well though.

I've trialled it out for a night away so far and packed it with what I took on my trip to Copenhagen to see how much it could fit inside.......I could have easily packed more into it for that trip. I'll be using it again this weekend and have a couple of other overnight stays before Christmas. I look forward to really putting it through it's paces with some capsule packing in the New Year. I am really thrilled with this very stylish, innovative and well thought out piece of luggage..........it's  definitely be worthy of a spot on your Christmas wish list! If you need any more information you can find it all here

Thanks to Pakt for letting me try it out!

Back soon, Michelle x
