Earlier in the week I got to spend the day at Swindon Designer Outlet. I was given a brief to check out some of this seasons new trends so I was on the hunt for pastel colours and floral prints.....both trends are perfect as we head into the summer events season. Spot on if you have a wedding coming up or are off to Ascot. Aside from occasion wear there are plenty of separates for adding these spring tones to your wardrobe.
I am going to share my top picks here. I looked at lots......there was so much temptation but I was up for the challenge to nail those trends.
First up......I'm starting with a wardrobe basics. I found this gorgeous linen blazer in Jigsaw.
Jigsaw blazer - original price was £190, outlet price £133
Mint Velvet had a great selection of colour and some gorgeous stock, lots of their signature pieces at great prices. Typical of me to end up in a dark colour.....but I do love a shirt dress so I couldn't resist trying this one.
Mint Velvet dress reduced to £89
I loved these separates in Ted Baker. The top is a magnolia print and the silky harems could be worn for day or evening. The reductions on these were fantastic.
Ted Baker top was £119 down to £69 with an additional 30% off (selected items only)
Ted Baker trousers were £119, reduced to £47
Ralph Lauren had some great crisp shirts in pastel colours. Their merchandising is so perfect isn't it!
Original price £85 - outlet price £39.99
Time for a wild card - these were not on the remit but I always pop into the Van's store to see if there is anything for my daughter.....I got sidetracked though and I was very tempted to buy these for myself!
Vans Trainers £48 reduced to £33
Moving onto occasion wear. Spoilt for choice! One shop in particular had it all covered. I have never shopped in Reiss before but oh boy did I love what they had to offer!
Interestingly I put some of these gems on my Instagram Stories (you can still view in my highlights) and it was so interesting to see what everyone felt I should get.
This was hands down the winner.
Reiss jumpsuit - sorry I didn't get the price of this but what I will say is that the staff in Reiss were amazing and I'm sure they'd happily find it for you.
This suit from Reiss also gotta a lot of Instagram love.
Reiss jacket - original price 235 outlet price £156
Trousers original price £125 outlet price £83
Then there was this dress.......
Reiss dress original price £185 outlet price £123
It was so hard to choose! I had a really dilemma on my hands. Should I be practical and go for some wardrobe basics that I would wear over and over again?Or should I go for a showstopper outfit fit for an occasion? My brain was addled I tell you. So this outfit was the runner up.
Mint Velvet denim jacket reduced to £49
Mint velvet Leopard print maxi shirt dress reduced to £59
In the end I went with my heart and plumped for the showstopper. It's hard to put into words just how great this dress makes me feel when it's on......it totally won me over. I have a couple of events to go to and as I hit the big 5-0 later in the year I know I will have plenty of excuses to wear it. I'm excited to bring it out to play!
Reiss dress original price £285 outlet price £190

Wow great picks! I love the dress you went for very glam! x
