I promised a bit of occasion wear on my last post. I tried on this gorgeous Somerset by Alice Temperley last week. I felt like Keira Knightly walking right off the set of Atonement in it. It has a 1940's vibe about it which I love.
A couple of other pieces in John Lewis caught me eye if you are looking for something on the dressier side. I also loved this Temperley Jumpsuit on. It's almost looks like a dress as the trousers are wide.
I'd inject a bit of colour with a red blazer.....how cute are these M&S monochrome shoes! Perfect heel height for me too!
Sienna Jones Bag, gifted
Last but not least on my occasion wear radar is this Modern Rarity dress. It's pretty much sold out online bu there was a good range of sizes in my local John Lewis at The Mall Cribbs Causeway.
I'm not sure I like the way this is styled over trousers. I think the dress does all the talking and I'd keep the accessories pretty simple.
It's just occurred to me that I've stuck to monochrome or neutrals. If I have to splash out on occasion wear I at least want to know that I can wear it afterwards but just changing up the jacket or footwear. Got to keep my wardrobe working hard for me!
For anyone who is new to the blog (or) if you'd like to find out a little bit more about me then please do have a read of this interview I did for Shelley Loves. Shelley's style is lovely so give her a follow too!
