my make up favourites!

It's been a while since I've shared my favourite make up products and as I've just uploaded a little IGTV clip just talking through all the things I'm currently using I thought I'd do a quick blog re-cap too! It's not a tutorial.....just a little chat through my favourites.

Starting with the base, I've a few primers but this one is my favourite, Hourglass Veil. you only need a tiny bit and it makes my skin feel like velvet and leaves me perfectly prepped for the next step.

I have been a long time lover of a BB cream as opposed to a foundation which I find too heavy. However a few months ago 2 friends recommended Eborian CC cream. It's a Korean brand that I've purchased from Space NK. I have the Dore shade, it does come out of the tube looking white but once it touches your skin it adjusts to your natural skin shade. It evens out my skin tone leaving a completely natural finish. I love this product and I can't recommend it highly enough. It's been a game changer for me.

I've finally found a concealer I'm happy with . I would love to use YSL Touche Eclat but sadly I'm allergic to it. Max Factor's Radiance Lift is really excellent for the money. I have the fair shade, I've cut the sponge tip off as I found I was wasting a lot and it was hard to apply with the sponge. Top tip for you........always use an eye cream (I have only just started doing this!!) as if the skin under your eyes isn't hydrated the concealer will just settle into the fine lines.....not a good look!

I use Maybelline Colour Tattoo cream eyeshadow in Creme de Nude as a base on my eyelids. It has great staying power....I've been using this for years.

I do swish a fine layer of powder over my base make up. I find Maybelline Matte Maker does the job!

A word on brushes....these are excellent! Don't forget to clean them regularly too!

I do use a little colour on my lids. I've been told that terracotta is a great colour to make blue eyes really pop so I've been using one that is actually a contour/highlighter powder but it is a little shimmery to use on my face but I find it great for my eyes.

I've tried many an eyeliner but I keep going back to this one. This one is the easiest one I've found to apply and it's got fantastic staying power.

I use good old Benefit Hula for a bit of contouring and to give me some a sun-kissed glow.

Blusher would be my one desert island product....I look like death without it! I swear by Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful after discovering this cream blusher earlier this year.....I adore it! It's so easy to apply, you only need to use a little to build up a natural- looking flush.

I bought these next two products whilst in New York in February and these are repurchases as both are fab products. Boy Brow is fast becoming a bit of a make up legend!

This Glossier product has also received rave reviews. I pop a little of this on the top of my cheekbones.....it gives a lovely subtle glow!

On to mascara. I'm currently using a brand new one from Max Factor called Volume Infusion which is infused with Keratin and Bioten to care for your lashes whilst coating them with colour. I've been using this for a week now and I am really impressed with it and would definitely buy it again! Another tip......I always use eyelash curlers and I curl each eye twice in a kind of pulsing movement for a count of 10 for the best curl.....I hope that makes sense! I trick I picked up from a fantastic book by Kevyn Aucoin that I've had for years and still refer too!

When incomes to lipstick.....it's almost always a shade of red. This L'Oreal one called Pink-in-Porter is most in favour at the moment but this one and this one are also on rotation.

All of the above is kept in place with a swoosh of this which smells divine!

So those are my current favourite products but do hit me with your recommendations and tips......I'm always open to trying new things!

Be back soon styling up a new wardrobe addition in a few different ways!
