my kinda heaven!

I am a total convert. I've pretty much always championed High Street when it comes to jeans. However after a huge try-on of different of MIH jeans at my current favourite shopping destination Kilver Court Village Designer I have been won over by the fit, cut, and of MIH. And they aren't that much more expensive than the High Street when you can pick them up at Kilver Court.
I'm excited to announce that I am running a competition over on Instagram. To celebrate the lovely new refit that the MIH department has had at Kilver Court. You can win £200 worth of MIH vouchers to spend at Kilver Court. Which is an amazing prize I think you'll agree!
I'm going to give you a little virtual tour of the department which is beautifully merchandised. Although MIH specialise in great fitting jeans they also design gorgeous knits, some beautiful tops and shirts and some great denim dresses. They have a really good selection of classic investment pieces that will be in your wardrobe for years to come!

Hopefully that's given you a good flavour of what to expect!
Now onto the mammoth trying on session that took place. Recently I have taken to wearing jeans to work and skinnies feel like the smarter option to me so when I shopped the department I was looking for some of the straighter styles that are on-trend at the moment as those are the gaps I'm looking to fill in my wardrobe. I love the straighter styles with ballerina flats and anything with a little ankle strap, as we go into winter these look fab with the sock-style boots that have been in favour the last couple of years. So with that in mind I started off with this style called Tomboy. It's hard to depict here but the have a bit of interest, darker denim along the outer seam of each leg. They fit like a dream and these were my regular size 28"w and these are £215 down to £85. I could have happily gone home in the outfit so a word about the Breton....as it did indeed come home with me.....and has been worn already! The Breton is a heavy duty cotton, it was £115 down to £45 and I'm wearing a small.

These next style of jeans are called Jeanne. These are a washed black denim with some distressing on the front and back of the legs. These I sized down in, 27"w and priced at £85 down from £235.

The same Jeanne jeans as above......just trying to show you the distressing on the back of the hems.

This next style is called Ellsworth, these are more of a skinny shape. Slightly cropped. The pocket detail on the front (hard to see in the pic as I didn't want to flash the mum-tum) is more of a slit as opposed to the more classic pocket style. These were super comfy, plenty of stretch in that pulled you in in all the right places. Size-wise these are a 29"w and are £85 down from £195.

A word on this oversized shirt.....love it! This is a small. It was £155, now down to £85.

Next up is Linda, boyfriend fit. Great shape and loved the lighter denim. You will notice that I have tried on a range of sizes, the fit does seem to depend on the style. These are a 26"w again priced at £85 down from £195.

This gorgeous white top is positively swoonsome! A linen and lace mix.....just beautiful! This is the extra small....I could have down with the small across the shoulders. This one is £125 down from £265. There is a better picture to come below.

Here we have the Paris which I have heard great things about! They did not disappoint. Love, love, love the slight crop and the fit is perfection! These are 28"w, so my usual size. These usually retail at £165 but the outlet price is £85.

If skinnies are your thing I honestly cannot rate the MIH bodycon skinny highly enough. I will be moving on from usual high street brand in favour of these. They are absolutely worth paying the extra for and I will be investing in these in future. They are super soft and a super fit and come in a range of finishes. These are on my wish list (as are a couple of the other pairs when budget allows!) as I honestly really rate them. Again these are my regular size 28"w These are the high rise but they also come in mid rise. Normally £195, outlet price £85.

What did I actually get I hear you ask? I went in search of a straight leg and I got exactly what I wanted! I can honestly say I feel a bit like Jeanne Damas in these.....just the look I was hoping for. These are called Halsy. Again these are high rise, size 28"w £85 down from £195. I could wax lyrical about these all day long......but I'll spare ya!

And I could not resist another pair of boyfriends. These are called Tomboy (same style as the first ones above). What can I say? I just fell hook, line and sinker for these as well. I could have sized down from my usual size in these but I like the 'Tomboy' fit. There are a great selection of styles at Kilver Court though do bear in mind as an outlet they don't have every size in every style. Still there are some absolute gems to be had at fantastic prices. These were further reduced when I reached the till down to £59.50 from £205. Happy days!

So that concludes my mega trying on session. I came away with 2 pairs.....with 2 more purchases sure to follow ;0) as I'm back at Kilver Court again this Thursday........what can I say? This place is my mecca at the moment.

So what more is there to tempt you in the MIH department apart from jeans. I'd be only too happy to show you!

Blue frill shirt £95

White frill shirt £85

White top (as before) £125

Sweater £115

Denim dress £125

Breton dress £85

A white dress definitely worth stashing for next year!

White dress £145

I'll leave you with a parting shot......you know when you've got some absolute wardrobe winners as you can't wait to wear them as was the case here!

So, I hope I have showed you plenty to be tempted by! To be in with a chance of winning £200 worth of MIH vouchers to spend at Kilver Court make sure you are following me @myfashionable40s here, @kilvercourt here and @MIH here and leave a comment on my MIH Instagram post (Sunday 24th Sept) tagging two friends. Good luck everyone.....what a great prize!
