wardrobe refreshers!

This week there hasn't been much opportunity to hit the High Street....or shop online as for the first time in eleven years I have worked Monday - Friday 9 to 5! It wasn't half as bad as I expected and actually made me super productive both at work and at home! If you caught any of my Instagram Stories this week you will have seen me in packing mode for my holiday next week......organised or what?! However, I digress. I did catch up with my mum for our usual weekly scout about the shops on Saturday. The trip was more about home furnishings as mum is looking for curtain fabric....however she did drag me into New Look to look at shoes!! Like I haven't done enough damage in there lately! Needless to say I didn't come away empty handed, though my mum did! Just typical! Anyway....these put a smile on my face. Perfect for the duller summer days when sandals just aren't going to cut it and they will certainly revive a few of my favourite looks as you will no doubt see in the coming days!

These are completely flat and a great alternative to my Topshop red Kicks that are starting to look a little worse for wear....they have been much loved and well worn! Have you added any little game-changing accessories to your wardrobe recently? I'd love to hear of anything that's breathing a bit of new life into your summer spring/summer stuff!

I must confess I have borrowed my inspiration from this lovely lady who I spotted sporting these the other day....she's also inspired me to dust off my dungers who haven't seen the light of day for sometime! I was fortunate enough to meet Zoe last weekend at The Social Brunch Club event at Harvey Nichols in Bristol. I've blogged about our first event back here. These pics are from our second bash which is all about a bit of networking and sharing our tips and experiences of blogging and social media! It was fab....great to see some familiar faces and make some new Insta friends. I must say a huge thank you to the totally gorgeous Rachel the Hat who was our guest speaker.....she was awesome, such a lovely funny and engaging woman!
The calm before all the excitement at Harvey Nichols!

Goody bags!

Harvey Nichols certainly looked after us!

Introducing ourselves - The Social Brunch Club team!

Our signature.....speed networking! 3 minutes with every person in the room....excellent ice-breaker!

Rachel the Hat sharing her blogging tips!

And finally the team shot!

Apologies for going completely off course there but now is a good time to announce the date & venue of the next Social Brunch Club event which is taking place on Saturday 9th September at the amazing Kilver Court....so not only do we get to have a great time networking but we also get to shop in this fabulous designer outlet (which also just happens to have the Mulberry factory shop next door!) win-win no?! If you fancy coming along you can purchase your ticket here we'd love to meet you!

It's been a mixed bag of outfits this. I've tried not to be a slave to the weather but I'm finding it a challenge to pull together the perfect weather appropriate ensemble the moment.
