april showers!

For the past couple of Spring/Summers I've been on the lookout for a lightweight coat for those days when our glorious British weather isn't playing ball. Now that my daughter is getting older it's not so much about getting soaked on the school run (she can take herself there and back now) it's all about mum's taxi service and the fact I am most likely to be found on the standing on the sidelines cheering her on at the ever increasing amount of sports activities! I need something that does the job of keeping me warm and dry but still looks the part. These past few weeks I've been road-testing this gorgeous parka.

A closer look....

Still looking good in the hood.

Now the beauty of this coat is that not only is it super stylish, it is also fully waterproof.....and windproof making it perfect for festival-lovers (yes, I'm joining those ranks this year!) and it is perfect for us taxi-service, cheerleading mums too! I love the edgy style of it......the amazing stand-up collar conceals a hood. The fabric is designed to be stretchy so it moves with you, which is fab if you are in and out of a car. It is as light as a feather so you hardly know you are wearing it. There is a futuristic vibe about it don't you think? I chose it in the more traditional dark olive but it also comes in blue, black and grey. There are three other styles to choose from as well. This one looks so cool in white, waterproof city walker....

They do a classic trench too!

The waterproof commuter is pretty elegant!

At the moment there are just the four styles but I think  they cover something for every woman. They all come in a variety of colours. I adore the more minimalist styling. I have a size medium, I would recommend sizing up so you can wear a layer or two underneath. You don't just have to take my word for how great these are....the reviews online speak for themselves. Protected Species are definitely worth the investment! If you have one of these I would really love to hear what you think!

So that's it from me for now....the Easter hols are looming! I'm off to York for the weekend for a rather lovely event! I shall be doing an Instagram & Stories take over for my lovely mate Caroline Jones aka Knicker's Models Own. Please give me a shout if you are going to be there.....and come and say hi! :o)

Back soon with all the fashion gossip from behind the scenes! ;o)
Protected Species kindly sent me this parka to review. All words and opinions are my own and I'm happy to say that I 100% endorse this product!
