work*in* a skirt!

Over the weekend I decided I wanted to ring the changes with some of my workwear outfits.....and step away from the trousers that have been a permanent fixture up until now. Whilst I was away in Devon last week I had the opportunity to wear my River Island leopard print skirt (sold out now but gorgeous alternative here) and it was lovely to get the legs out again. The leopard print doesn't feel work appropriate so I went in search of a black denim, velvet or cord skirt, a-line in style and fell in love with this one from good old Dotty P's!

The whole ensemble! I kept it simple with a a v-neck sweater, quilted pumps and Zara camel coat.

Jaeger quilted pumps, ancient alternative here
Mulberry Dorset tote, past season High Street alternative here
I've had a little snoop around the High Street to see what else I could be tempted with!

This New Look one comes in a few different colours including black and navy!

Another cord skirt that comes in a variety of colours!

Something for every High Street budget here I think! Do you wear skirts for work when it gets colder? What styles do you go for? Any tips....I'm all ears! Wearing my little DP number has given a couple of other ideas and I'm thinking of wearing my Dorothy Perkins pinafore, similar here and also my Marks and Spencer button through A-Line denim skirt. Both are dark rinse so look a bit smarter......I think I can just about get away with them for work.

Here are my other workwear looks this week.

Well that's my working week done. Happy hump day everyone!

I look forward to hearing any other skirt style ideas!

Be back soon :0)
