First off......I've used this Dorothy Perkins top, a recent purchase that's guaranteed to be a wardrobe winner!
Paired with my Uniqlo wide pants, these are supremely comfy and have an elastic waist making them perfect to travel in.
Footwear-wise, to finish off my style steal perfectly, my Hush Brogues.
Voila! I love the result....am wearing today with my denim jacket slung over it though as although it's warm here in the South West, it's a little overcast at the moment!
So what do you wear to travel in? I shall be back shortly with another capsule packing post......slightly trickier than normally for me as there are a few dressy events! Sadly I don't have VB's wardrobe to choose from! Wish me luck!
Back soon!

Great style steal Michelle, you can't go wrong copying Mrs B can you?!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your mini break.

My Midlife Fashion
Thank you Jane! VB always get it spot on doesn't she! Glad this was an easy outfit to replicate and I could make it work for my not-quite-so-glam lifestyle! xx
DeleteI prefer your version, Michelle. Gorgeous look! Enjoy your break. Lynne xx
ReplyDeleteMwah....thank you lovely Lynne! Just keeping my fingers crossed we get some of this lovely weather while we are away.....it's looking a little iffy at the moment! xx
DeleteI love how you've put it together. My travel go to is cropped leggings and a tunic.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Anna! Anything jersey and comfy is a must for traveling isn't it! xx
DeleteThis looks great Michelle! Have a fab time lovely. Sue xx
ReplyDeleteMwah! Thank you Sue! The packing has presented me with a challenge because of the forecast but I'm sure I'll get it just how I want it in the end! xx
DeleteSo simple, so chic. And so much easier to go to the ladies room in is your version. And this is one of VB's best outfits - love it.
ReplyDeleteAh-ha....you are so right Sue, VB must have an assistant to help her in the loo! What a faff with a back zipper! Love the fact that this outfit is a style that is so wearable, easy to replicate and it's so comfy, not to mention easier to visit the ladies in! ;0) xx
DeleteYou see, I look at VB and wonder will she not be cold? Airplanes can get really cold so I never travel without a scarf of some sort in my bag. As for what I wear ...well clearly it will be my new trainers from now on, lol!!!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh I know what you mean Helen....the things VB must do all in the name of style....freeze to death must be quite high up there! I'm wearing this outfit tomorrow to travel in but I have my leather jacket to hand and a scarf just in case! I knew those trainers would be surgically attachted to your feet in no time...they will indeed be perfect for travelling too! xx
DeleteLove your version, your look and styling seem effortless, VB a bit posed! Re the Uniqlo wide leg trousers (and chiffon pleated skirt from an earlier equally stylish post) - what are the sizings like? I have both in my 'shopping bag' but am just unsure about sizing. Thank you, Lindsey Herts xx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Lindsey....what a fab compliment.....mwah! With the wide pants, I ordered a small, the skirt I ordered a medium as I didn't want it to sit on my waist, I wanted it more kind of mid rise if that makes sense. Thankfully both sizes were perfect for the garments. I'm normally a size 10 if that helps! xx
Deletelooks brilliant, i definitely think a good break starts with an excellent travel outfit..but down to serious stuff - beachwear in early summer.. any suggestions - i too have sunshine break in less than a fortnight and wondering how best to bare the post winter/another year older bod!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yep, it certainly does help to set off on the right foot clothing-wise! Now beachwear.....feels us all with dread I think! I'm into one-piece swimsuits at the moment. I quite like the M&S tummy control ones that are strapless, I think they look very elegant and they aren't quite as scary as a bikini where a bit more of your body is on show. For wearing over your cossie I either go for a shorts playsuit, shorts and a cami top or a strapless sundress (these little dresses are easiest in you are in a hotel to go down to the pool). I feel a blog post coming together, as I've seen a few bits that would be suitable for this very purpose....thank you for the inspiration! :0) xx
