which turned out to be a really bad idea!
There is nothing like finding an item is out of stock to spur you on is there?! So that's 3 pairs of khaki trews added to the wardrobe in the space of a month!
Oh and then I went and unearthed these that have been languishing in the closet for a couple of years!
Yep, I think we can safely say I have fulfilled my khaki quota and as one of my lovely friends, Sian ;0) has pointed out, I may be in need of KA.....khaki anonymous!!
Quick note....I've found the army style trousers are cut on the generous side so I would recommend that you size down with these if you are thinking of ordering! I am wearing a size UK 8 which are still very roomy.
So a quick recap of what I've been wearing this past week!
Jigsaw bay via eBay
H&M top (past season but I have ordered this similar here)
Tesco F&F sandals, past season
Jigsaw bag via eBay
Zara jacket, past season
Zara jeans, past season
Jigsaw t-shirt via eBay
H&M jeans, past season
Jigsaw bag via eBay
Here are is the evidence of my latest fixation both pairs of trews were worn straight away!
H&M top, childrenswear past season
Zara top, past season
ASOS London Rebel sandals, current but sold out
French Connection jacket, past season
Jigsaw t-shirt via eBay
Uniqlo sweater, current season but sold out
I'd love to hear all about your latest addiction on the clothing and/or accessory front! I wonder what mine will be this time next week! ;0)
As always I love reading and responding to your comments
Until next time.....
Michelle xx
Ok we need to sit down and talk eBay - you have some amazing pieces from there! You also look better than the models in the Zara trousers. Strangely enough, I have never been too lucky with Zara bottoms until a few weeks ago. I found some khaki cropped jeans that fitted perfectly. I should give them more of a chance now really, especially based on your great finds. You look fab in all your outfits as always. Oh damn - you just reminded me I didn't check my Uniqlo basket - did you check out?!?!?x
ReplyDeleteAhh...yes Natalie, eBay is another one of my addictions! Lol! I do spend more time than is healthy trawling for stuff!
DeletePersevere with the Zara bottoms as the sizing is pretty random on them, I've found their jeans are pretty true to size and I bought the chino style in a small, which are fine. They don't make it easy for the customer though do they with some things in S,M & L, others by waist size and also clothing sizes 8,10 12 etc!
I am still sitting on my hands with regards to the Uniqlo basket.....currently shining my halo ;0) xx
Hope you don't mind Michelle, but if feel a style steal coming on, I have a pair of khaki H&M skinnies that I love, but I realise I now have a khaki (thingy) gap in my wardrobe. Super stylish as always.

Steal away Sue! The khaki trews are a fab alternative to jeans, they are a brilliant neutral that goes with so much too! Stock up like me ;0) xx
DeleteI am having a big khaki moment again too right now, yes I think you are definitely in a Khaki addiction faze at the moment.......But dont look for a cure Michelle, as it's such a great colour to replace denim and it just works with everything! Love this weeks outfit's especially that Topshop denim dress.....just perfect! Helen xx
ReplyDeleteI am on a roll Helen so not looking forward to a cure any time soon! It is lovely to have something else in my wardrobe that I can put my hands and know will work with everything! Khaki is indeed a great alternative to denim!
DeleteThe Topshop dress is such a goody! Is is sooo comfortable to, I think that will be great with a wedge type sandals in high Summer too!
Tell me....have you taken the plunge and had a fringe cut in, I am desperate to know?! xx
You know what Michelle, I am still trying to decide? And if I put my theory into practice, for when I am clothes shopping, into this fringe thingy decision which is "if a bit unsure walk away" into practice, I actually think I am going to chicken out! When my hairs not right I am a bit of a nightmare to all and sundry....So best not to put them through it!! Helen xx
DeleteHelen, please let me know if you go for it! One of my favourite sayings is *if in doubt don't*! I am trying so hard to let go a bit with my hair instead of wanting perfect and to be coiffed within a inch of my life! I've been umming and ahhing about having a lob but settled on a couple of inches off to tidy things up and start growing the layers out! What are we like about our hair?! :0) xx
DeleteLove khaki Michelle and I have a pair of greyish/khaki cuffed trousers from Mint Velvet so will be stealing a few of your lovely ideas!! Have a good week:)
ReplyDelete~Anne xx
Who knew how easily these trews would fit in my wardrobe Anne....well that's my excuse for acquiring 3 new pairs! ;0)
DeleteWishing you a good week too! xx
I think I'm only starting my khaki obsession, so will definitely be stalking Zara in search of a pair. Also saw some lovely khaki skinny ankle grazers that I may have to try on. Great look and you style it sooooo well x
ReplyDeleteOnce you start there will be no stopping you Helen....you have my word on that! ;0) I can definitely see you in khaki trews with one of your lovely creams jackets! Thank you for the lovely compliment! xx
DeleteYup I'm loving khaki right now too Michelle & seem to have also made unhealthy amount of khaki purchases last month! As you know I've also purchased the Zara chinos & just love them but I'm now tempted by those army trousers too ;-0
ReplyDeleteJane xx
My Midlife Fashion
It is my new go-to neutral Jane.....you are to blame for some of this obsession! I love how you've been styling khaki with green, one of my favourite colour combos at the moment! You know you need the army trousers in your life! ;0) xx
DeleteI've put my khaki pair on the ebay pile as they give after a couple of hours wear and look dreadful (first pair of M&S jeans to let me down). I think I need to get off my bottom and go and try on as it's not happening on the internet front. Lovely outfits Michelle, you've obviously had much nicer weather than us up north xx
ReplyDeleteAren't you tempted to save your khaki's from the eBay and resurrect them Donna? Mind you, I think are plenty of other lovely ones on the High Street!
DeleteWe have been spoilt rotten with the weather down here the past couple of weeks....fingers crossed it perks up for you soon! xx
I'm on my third year for the Gap mini skimmer khakis and they are still holding up well. But you've outdone yourself here - I think you were making up for lost time on the old khaki trews front. I can't decide which pair I like best out of all the ones you have so I think you did right to buy them all :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I've been a bit slack on the old photo taking front again - I must get on the case! I love seeing what you're wearing - it gives me a nudge to see what I can drag out and what ideas I can steal.
It was you that sewed the seed for the khaki's last year if you remember rightly?! I just didn't get on with the Gap ones but I think I've well and truly got the khaki trend covered for now!
DeleteWell it's lovely to hear you like to see what I'm wearing....but have to admit I have been missing your photos for inspiration! xx
Crikey Michelle, I think it's safe to say you've definitely gone over to the khaki side! I do think there's something to be said for buying in bulk when you've found a style and colour that suits you and you know you'll wear it regardless of what's happening trend wise...love your denim dress, can you send some warmth up here now please??! xx
ReplyDeleteLol Becky! If you are going to do something...do it well right! ;0) I have indeed come over all khaki....in fact any shade of green! The proof is in the pud as they say as the army trews are on for the 3rd time in a week, fair to say they have almost earned their keep! Gosh this lovely spell is taking it's time getting to you, keeping everything crossed it'll be with you any day now, it has been so lovely to get the legs, the TS denim dress is such a winner! Thank you! xx
DeleteLooking fabulous Michelle! It's only since you and Eve started talking about khaki that I realized how much I have already! A few pairs of khaki pants and a t-shirt dress...I need to get them out - love them with a black jacket and white top! I love that Zara cardigan too! xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Joanna...I am feeling the khaki love and Eve is absolutely to blame! ;0) Next on my agenda is to try black jacket/white tee/khaki trew combo! This is the perfect time to get the green bits in your wardrobe out as they are guaranteed to make us feel a bit more Spring-like! xx
DeleteHa, ha...you are defo sorted for khaki trews!! Love them 'tho & they are a great alternative to jeans. I saw a lovely khaki shirt dress in H&M the other day which I may have to go back for. Looking fab as always..still love the Zara cardi :) xx
ReplyDeleteI should have bought the darn chinos when I was with you....though then I may have missed the army trews so that was probably meant to be! Oh lordy....I do absolutely sound like an addict with my justifications! Lol! I am diving in H&M (Bath) tomorrow so if you are about lets try and do a quick coffee?! xx
DeleteI am in town tomorrow...meeting someone at 11am, but let's grab a coffee beforehand? I'll text you...xx
DeleteYou are on! Off to text you! xx
DeleteI'm a massive fan of khaki trews - I have too many pars to count! I find they're fab for the warmer months and much cooler than jeans. I love all of your new buys, Michelle, but you're making me want to buy more! Aaargghh! Lynne xx
ReplyDeleteLol....yes I did clock your obsession with khaki trews too Lynne! ;0) I didn't realise just how much I had to go with them so they have slotted perfectly in my wardrobe! xx
DeleteYou looked SO good on Saturday in the cream jacket - I think I'm going to totally steal that look!
ReplyDeleteThanks you so much Fiona! I've had the cream jacket for a couple of years but always kept it for best as it's cream, however now that I've worn it and really dressed down I've decided that's the way to go with it to get the wear out of it! xx
DeleteWell, I'm liking most of these, but absolutely love the denim dress and the zara cardigan.
ReplyDeleteOddly enough I have never owned or even tried a pair of khakis. I am not normal, haha!
You seem to have the ability to make everything look amazing, though, you are so lucky to suit green/olive so well, it's such a tricky colour i find.
Thank you so much for the lovely comment! Why not give the khakis a go?! May I just say how much I love your images on Instagram.....I am a huge fan so it really is lovely to receive such compliments from you xx
DeleteI'm ordering the Mango ones next week Michelle! I can't cope without them a minute longer! Love your trousers & you've created some great outfits with them! x
