We are suddenly careering towards Christmas and I don't know where the time has gone....so much so that I've only had time to throw together this post which is just sharing my outfits from the past week!! There is a new addition to the wardrobe which I shall share below!
First up is Monday's school run outfit....taking advantage of the mild weather we experienced at the start of the week to get the leather jacket out!
Superdry leather jacket (old, via T K Maxx, similar here)
J Crew sweater
H&M snood (current here)
So, Tuesdays outfit consisted of piling on some layers to keep the cold at bay! The change of scenery was due to me spending the best part of the day helping my folks get their Christmas decorations up!
Whistles t-shirt (old, similar here)
Gap always skinny (old, similar here)
H&M snood (current, here)
Anya Hindmarch (Spring 2014, The Outnet)
On Wednesday it was all about finishing the Christmas shopping with the DH! Again tons of layers to bob in and out of the toasty shops!!
Whistles jersey biker jacket (old)
Brave Soul shirt via ASOS (sold out)
Primark scarf (Autumn 2013)
Anya Hindmarch (Spring 2014, The Outnet)
Then there was the Christmas work do! There were layers for this too! I had some walking to do from one place to another and as I wanted to wear the New Look shoes, so to make up for potentially cold tootsies I tried to make up for it by topping my outfit off with a bit of fur to keep warm and glam things up a bit!
River Island drape cardy (Spring 2013)
Zara coated jeans (old, similar here)
New Look shoes (current, here)
H&M bag (current, sold out online but I have seen in store)
Saturday's outfit was fit for a trip to our favourite garden centre to see Santa and participate in a bit of ice-skating.....that was the 8 year old, not me I might add!!
Topshop parka (Spring 2014, similar from River Island here)
Anya Hindmarch (Spring 2014, The Outnet)
And finally onto that little purchase I mentioned! Whilst in town on Wednesday I was flitting through the menswear department in Primark and this little blazer caught me eye. I tried it on and the DH nodded his approval and exclaimed it would be his treat! Who was I to argue! It was mild enough to go without a coat today so I gave it it's first airing.....I love it! It's grey herringbone, the lining is a cute paisley fabric which is great for turning back the long arms!! I see myself getting lots of wear out of this!!
Primark mens jacket (current)
Uniqlo v-neck merino sweater (current here)
Uniqlo urban sweat pants (current, sold out online)
H&M snood (current, here)
Anya Hindmarch (Spring 2014, The Outnet)
What do you think of my little Primark bargain? Have you had any luck in the menswear department of a store lately! I may have something under the Christmas tree, also from the menswear section of another large High Street store! ;0) Santa willing....all will be revealed in a couple of weeks!!
As always I love reading and responding to your comments!
Wishing everyone a fab week!
Be back soon!

Terrific outfits! Love the blazer. I do like menswear too - my go to jumoer is a grey lambswool mans crewe neck from Tesco a couple of years ago - it was only £20 and compares favourably to my Cos one at 3 times the price! Hx
ReplyDeleteOoh....you little gem H! I am taking my mum to Tesco's this morning so I shall have a snoop around the menswear! Thank you kindly for the tip-off! xx
DeleteI love the Primark blazer - what a lovely fit on you! I dragged an old H&M one out the other week but it has been so cold here ... the Grumps deigned to put the heating on :o) And it's a fab outfit especially with the Uniqlo sweatpants. Joanna was kind enough to bag me the size small in them and they have made their way to my wardrobe now to keep my grey ones company. And your going out evening outfit is just perfect - just glammed up enough without going OTT. I might do something very similar myself!
ReplyDeleteLol Sue! The size is extra small and it won't do up on me, not that I would do it up....the shoulders are pretty big, I just can't imagine a chap that would fit into it, which is probably why there were only extra small and small left! Hey-ho my gain! The Uniqlo urban sweatpants are just perfect with it to dress it down.....glad you managed to snag the black ones, they really are such a superb shape! I was pretty pleased with the evening outfit as to be honest people don't tend to make too much effort on these occasions anymore but either way I would have fitted in and felt good in what I had on xx
DeleteWow, you do know how to unearth some gems! I would never have considered a mans blazer, but it looks great, I especially like the sleeves turned back like that with the print showing. Love all these outfits, and the New Look shoes are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteBecky x
I must being having a teenage moment Becky as in my youth I used to nick my das stuff to wear all the time!! Now I am keeping my eyes peeled on every men's department I pass!! Sooo glad I got the New Look shoes...I wore them 3 times last week and they will be out for another airing this week, they are doing very well on the pay-per-wear front! xx
DeleteI would never think to look in the mens section of Primark. Darn it, I was in there, the other day too. Love your laid back style Michelle. So effortless but so stylish x
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely comment Donna....looks like we shall all be stalking the goodies in the menswear department from now on! xx
DeleteLoving the new purchase Michelle, it looks absolutely fab on you & I love how you've styled it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

I have always loved the H&M tweed blazer that you got last year Jane and when I saw this little jacket it reminded me of yours and I knew it would be a versatile piece to have in the wardrobe!! xx
DeleteIt would never occur to me to look in the mens dept in Primark ... but as I may have to go there tomorrow, I may well take a look. Really loving that blazer. And as always, you are very stylish in every pic x
ReplyDeleteOoh yes, do have a look! I'm hoping someone will better my purchase and come out of there with something else good that I have missed! Always looking to be inspired! Thanks for the lovely comment xx
DeleteLoving your works do outfit Michelle, the New Look shoes look fab, I have never loved a pair of cheap shoes more lol and it's good to see you are getting a lot of wear out of the AH bag, I don't use mine much during the day x
ReplyDeleteYou know I only flung that outfit together on the day Sharron, I hate being cold and was originally going to wear the Tux and Tee from H&M from my last post with the gilet over the top and I realised I just wouldn't be warm enough and that a piece of knitwear would be in order!! I didn't have anything sparkly but the drapey cardy is pretty dressy and when I did a quick try on....well it just worked! Thank goodness, else I would have freezed my butt off! The Gracie is lovely, but it ain't all that practical for everyday use!! Hence the M&S messenger on my Christmas wish-list! xx
DeleteFab outfits Michelle....I might peep into the menswear departments from now on! That blazer looks great! Enjoy your week:)
ReplyDelete~Anne xx
Do share if you find any goodies Anne....I am pretty confident someone will top my little bargains with their findings in the menswear department! xx
DeleteLove your outfits Michelle. I am a big fan of black converse you look super cool in yours and that mans primark blazer looks amazing on! X
ReplyDeleteThank you Frances! I think it's only fair to say the Converse have been the best purchase of the season so far!! xx
DeleteMichelle, that blazer looks great! My husband has just ordered a gorgeous Harris Tweed blazer from a local store & ever since we looked at them, I've wanted one too! Might have to have a quick gander in Primark next time I'm in town! ;) x
ReplyDeleteI recommend you try the Primark one if you are looking for this type of jacket....you can't go wrong for the price as it will go with so much!! xx
DeleteThat jacket is amazing! What a good find!
ReplyDeleteTis gert lush isn't it Fiona!! ;0) xx
DeleteYou always look fantastic, Michelle. Great find in the jacket! Lynne xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynne....so chuffed with the jacket xx
DeleteAh Michelle loving all this weeks looks, but the best has to be your men's wear jacket...It looks sooo'h good, clever you, this takes borrowing from the boys to a whole new level, I shall have to have a quick look in Primark too! Just remembered last summer I bought 2 mens chambray shirts from there for a tenner, and I love them! Helen xx
ReplyDeleteThat's a fab blazer Michelle & I'd never of guessed it was from Primark! Loving all of your clever layering! x
