Next up was a lovely blogger meet in London Town on Saturday! I had a truly fantastic day amongst some awesome company. It was lovely to meet everyone one in person after admiring so many of them from afar for so long! Lots of Prosecco was quaffed, food consumed and there was laughter in abdunance! Perfection! One thing you can be sure of was that I had a great time with the following ladies! Thanks to you all for being so welcoming to us newbies!

I am utterly rubbish at taking photographs but I now have the most amazing momento as the lovely Marlene took this fantastic photo which I shall treasure as it's the happiest I've ever been with a picture of myself! Thank you Marlene, you are an incredible photographer and a really superb person too! Please check out Marlene's truly excellent blog post here about women and their self image.....it really does make for very interesting reading!

Gap v-neck sweater

I went with a simple outfit, kept it pretty practical with flats as I trained and tubed it there and back. It was a sunny day, a bit on the chilly side so I wore my parka over the top. The parka was a godsend as I bundled myself up on the train on the way home, I got so snug though that I promptly fell asleep and almost missed my stop.....lol that could have been something to do with the amount of alcohol consumed too!
In other exciting news! Some lovely person/persons have nominated me for the MAD Best New Blog award, so a huge thank you to the readers who may have put me forward, even just to be nominated is a great honour as I have only been doing this for 6 months. I can't tell you how chuffed I am! Bless you!
And so lastly in my very eventful week, today I met with the lovely Sian aka @Trinkets a super stylish fellow regular on Avenue 57. We spent a couple of hours having a good old natter over a coffee and then had a little potter around Bath....where Sian showed me a few hidden treasures in the way of shops I had not come across before. Of course we had a quick flit through the normal places we shop too! Thank you Sian, I had a wonderful morning, enjoyed your company and I look forward to doing it again soon! We got the waitress to take a little picture to share with you!

ReplyDeleteAhh thank you, as you can imagine I umm-ed and ahh-ed a fair bit over what to wear! A blazer felt right as I don't get too many opportunities to dress up....felt a few layers were needed though as although the day was sunny the temps were not so good!! Still pinching myself over the amazing pic Marlene took xx
DeleteSome gorgeous outfits there Michelle, loving your blogger meet outfit - just so chic.x
ReplyDeleteHi Emma!! Thank you so much xx
DeleteGreat outfits - you're inspiring me to take the plunge and get some New Balances. In my experience redundancies always turn out to be serendipitous. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteYou must get some New Balance....they are on trend and even better than that....comfortable!!
DeleteHaving been made redundant twice before...I couldn't agree more with it being serendipitous!! Bring it on :0) xx
Just love that photo of you that Marlene took - it's so natural. Actually since meeting you, I've become slightly obsessed with your outfit, especially the brogues. Which given that I never thought I'd wear brogues, is some achievement, let me tell you! I may just have to purchase some now ... I'll be laying all the blame at your door x
